Phoebe

[Monica wants to hide from Rachel the fact that she went shopping with Julie, so she creates an alibi.]
MONICA: Phoebe, listen. You were with me and we were shopping all day.
PHOEBE: What?
MONICA: We were shopping and we had lunch.
PHOEBE:Oh, all right... What did I have?
MONICA: You had a salad.
PHOEBE: Oh. No wonder I don't feel full.
RACHEL:[enters] Hey, guys. What's up?
PHOEBE: I went shopping with Monica all day and I had a salad.
RACHEL: Good, Pheebs. What'd you buy?
PHOEBE: Umm, we went shopping for, umm, for... fur.
RACHEL: You went shopping for fur?
PHOEBE: Yes... [realizes what she said, because actually she is against fur] And then I realized I'm against that... and, uh, so then we bought some... [Monica is pointing at her chest behind Rachel's back] uhh, boobs.
RACHEL: You bought boobs?
[Monica is yanking on her bra strap behind Rachel's back.]
PHOEBE: Bras! We bought bras! We bought bras.
And here it comes... today we focus on Phoebe! The greatest girls of all. She's so... unique... Having not experienced a normal childhood, Phoebe is an innocent person. She is still a child at heart at times. She did not learn how to ride a bike until Ross bought her one and taught her how with training wheels. She believes Santa Claus exists, until Joey says otherwise. And she has the best street-smarts. Having grown up on the streets, she knows how to get by. At one point, she and Ross are almost mugged, and she ends up having a happy reunion with an old friend from her mugging days. She also keeps a knife in her boot in one episode.
Phoebe agreed to be a surrogate mother for her brother Frank Jr. and his wife Alice. In the Season 5 episode "The One Hundredth" ("The One with the Triplets"), she gave birth to their triplets. While pregnant, she enjoyed seeing people's reactions after telling them, "I'm having my brother's children".

PHOEBE: Oh!
MONICA: What?
PHOEBE: It kicked! I think the baby kicked!
MONICA: Oh, my God!
PHOEBE: Oh, no, wait. Oh, no, the elastic on my underwear busted.

Phoebe often uses her chaotic childhood and traumatic past as sympathy ploys with her friends. References to her mother's death are usually used to get her own way. Phoebe does not seem to mind that the friends know it is a ploy. Phoebe believes in reincarnation and refers to multiple gods; however, not all of Phoebe's beliefs seem internally connected. She is very open to the existence of paranormal phenomena and willing to consider the most bizarre scientific theories, much to Ross's confusion and despair. She does not believe in the theory of evolution or gravity, claiming she feels more pushed down than pulled

ROSS: What don't you believe in?
PHOEBE: Karma, cropcircles, evolution...
ROSS: Woah, woah! You don't believe in evolution?
PHOEBE: No, I think it's a good story, y'know Darwin, monkeys but I just don't buy it.
[Phoebe reaches for a plate of cookies, Ross moves the plate away]
ROSS: Evolution is not something for you to buy, evolution is scientific fact, like, like, like the air we breathe, like gravity.
PHOEBE: Oh, okay — don't get me started on gravity.
ROSS: You, uh, you don't believe in gravity?
PHOEBE: Well, it's not so much that, you know, like I don't believe in it, you know, it's just... I don't know. Lately I get the feeling that I'm not so much being pulled down as I am being pushed.

Phoebe's musical skills are a popular source of entertainment. Her array of rhyming songs includes:
– "The Double-Double-Double-Jointed Boy",
– "Bisexuals"
– "Sue, Sue, Suicide"
– "Sticky Shoes"
– "The Cow in the Meadow goes Moo"
And most notably "Smelly Cat". In the series, "Smelly Cat" becomes both a jingle for a kitty litter commercial (performed by another singer) and a serious commercial release (also not sung by Phoebe). Smelly Cat's lyrics:

Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat,
What are they feeding you?
Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat
It's not your fault

They won't take you to the vet
You're obviously not their favorite pet
Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat,
It's not your fault

You may not be a bed of roses
You're not friend to those with noses
I'll miss you before we're done
Or the world will smell as one

Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat,
What are they feeding you?
Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat
It's not your fault

She's like the happiest girl ever!

=)
